Woman hit, killed by tractor-trailer in Smithfield

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WPRI) — Smithfield police say a woman died Monday night after she fell off her bicycle and was hit by a tractor-trailer.
The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Aliana Ciacciarelli of Smithfield.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. in the area of 140 Pleasant View Ave.
The truck driver did not stop, according to police. Investigators are now searching for a light-colored day cab/tractor-trailer combination that was in the area at the time of the crash.
