More People Driven Away From Our Holiday Dinner Tables
Hello,
What began as a legislative session that held promise, ended once again with theentrenched status quo and far-left politics winning the day… and it could have been much worse. Instead of crafting policies that might have attracted more families and entrepreneurs to return-home or move to Rhode Island, lawmakers imposed new burdens that will drive even more people away from our holiday dinner tables. Nationally, the federal tax and regulatory cuts that have resulted in rapid economic growth, higher personal incomes, and historic lows in unemployment rates for women and minority communities. Did Rhode Island follow the federal example? NO!
This year, voters will again have the chance to decide if our Ocean State will shift gears and join the rest of the country in moving forward towards prosperity and out of 47th place on our Center’s Jobs & Opportunity Index, or if we will continue the status quo and be stuck in reverse. The old adage – if we want new policies, we must elect new politicians – has probably never been more apt. Do Rhode Island voters truly want new policies? Or, are we happy with bucking successful national trends and living in relative stagnation? Click the link here now or on the button below to find out more. Thank you.
