WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Three kids who were hit while riding their bikes in West Warwick in March are out of the hospital and now have new bikes.
Police said the trio, who are 12 and 13 years old, were crossing the intersection of West Warwick Avenue and Main Street while on their way home from school when they were struck.
Two of the boys suffered serious injuries, but all three were rushed to the hospital and have since recovered.
Their bikes were also heavily damaged. Bike Newport heard about the incident and donated new ones to each boy, while Lifespan’s Injury Prevention Center gave them new helmets.
