NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway into an armed home invasion and robbery that happened in North Providence Thursday afternoon.
North Providence Police Chief Alfredo Ruggiero said four masked men, two of which were armed with guns, forced their way into a woman’s Rosner Street home.
The victim, who was not injured, told officers the suspects appeared to be familiar with her residence and knew where to look for her valuables, according to the police chief.
Ruggiero said the men stole new sneakers, clothes, jewelry and a small amount of cash before taking off in a vehicle reported stolen out of Cumberland.
