Duties and Responsibilities • To teach courses at a university transfer level in Organismal and Cellular Biology for science majors and Introductory Biology for non-majors. Secondary responsibilities may include teaching advanced specialty courses such as Ecology, Genetics and Evolutionary Biology.
• Engage in high-quality instruction in a diverse, inclusive and student-centered environment, and the ability to work with students with various learning styles, cultures, identities, and life experiences.
• Participate in college activities, including committee work and faculty meetings.
• Use technology to enhance instruction and communicate effectively with the campus community.
• Be willing to travel and teach at multi-campus locations as required by department needs.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college.
Minimum Qualifications • MA or MS in Biology, Ph.D. preferred.
• A minimum of two years’ experience teaching college-level biology required.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications • Ph.D. preferred.
