WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — A $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can help track down who is responsible for the “brutal killing” of a dog that washed ashore at Barrington Beach in April.
The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) performed a necropsy on the dog’s remains and found that it had been shot multiple times.
This deceased dog was one of three to wash ashore within the span of a month. The RISPCA became involved in the investigation after the third was found.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Special Agent Earl Newman at Earl.Newman@RISPCA.org or by calling Barrington police at (401) 437-3940.
