Man attempts armed robbery at four stores in one night

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — The Providence Police Department says a man suspected to be behind a string of attempted robberies has been arrested.
Three of the attempted robberies took place in Providence and one took place in East Providence.
The department said the Providence robberies took place at 775 Cranston St, 5 Elmwood, 49 Elmwood.
Then there was a robbery attempt at the Four Corners Market on Warren Avenue.
The department says the suspect was arrested at the Chad Brown Housing Complex, where he is a resident.
The Providence police say investigators had a description of the suspect and a vehicle.
Col. Oscar Perez praised his officers for their diligent work in identifying the suspect.
