Hoy 12 de marzo un momento de inspiración

Hoy 12 de marzo celebramos los 100 años del natalicio de Minerva Mirabal. Líder y revolucionaria dominicana que junto a sus hermanas Patria y María Teresa desafiaron la dictadura Trujillista. Minerva fue una figura trascendental en la lucha contra el tirano Trujillo. Su coraje y determinación inspiraron a muchos jóvenes a crear una oposición ante las injusticias y lo cual logró derrocar el régimen de terror que infundió Trujillo. A pesar de todos los obstáculos Minerva nunca vaciló en sus ideales, al contrario, cada vez tenía más ímpetu para seguir adelante y luchar por lo que fue su pensamiento correcto. El legado de Minerva inspira a mujeres en todo el mundo a denunciar la opresión y luchar por un mundo mejor.

Today, March 12, we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Minerva Mirabal—a Dominican leader and revolutionary who, together with her sisters Patria and María Teresa, defied the Trujillo dictatorship. Minerva was a pivotal figure in the struggle against the tyrant Trujillo. Her courage and determination inspired many young people to form an opposition to injustice, which ultimately helped bring down the regime of terror imposed by Trujillo. Despite every obstacle, Minerva never wavered in her ideals; on the contrary, she grew even more driven to move forward and fight for what she believed was right.

Minerva’s legacy inspires women around the world to speak out against oppression and to fight for a better world.
