Over 700 new housing units proposed for Coventry

A developer wants to build more than 700 new homes in Coventry.
The proposal includes 362 units in duplex-style buildings, as well as 350 units in multifamily buildings.
The Coventry Planning Commission heard a proposal for 712 new housing units around Center of New England Boulevard at a meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024. (WJAR)
According to a planning commission agenda, the development would be built at the Centre of New England. The proposal includes associated utilities and infrastructure.
The applicant, Starr Capital LLC, said it is anticipating construction to begin in 2025.
No vote was taken at Coventry Planning Commission meeting Wednesday night.
The proposal is expected to be taken up again next month.
