PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Some patients at Hasbro Children’s Hospital got a special surprise from a few New England Patriots players on Thursday.
As part of the NFL’s Crucial Catch: Intercept Cancer initiative, Mike Onwenu, David Andrews, Anfernee Jennings and Cole Strange spent most of their time in the pediatric oncology unit.
They gifted them with teddy bears, autographed footballs, and also posed for pictures.
Crucial Catch promotes the prevention and early detection of cancer.
