Pedestrian hit and killed by train in Warwick

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was hit and killed by a train in Warwick Friday night, according to authorities.
Police confirmed that the pedestrian was hit on the train tracks near Elm and Walnut streets just before 9 p.m.
Amtrak Northeast warned passengers that trains to and from Boston may experience some delays due to police activity.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown at this time.
