Person struck on University of Rhode Island campus

KINGSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — A person was injured after being hit by a car at the University of Rhode Island campus Wednesday night.
A spokesperson said the crash happened at the intersection of Lower College Road and Campus Avenue.

Police said the person was transported to the hospital.
The area was closed for four hours, but has since reopened.
It is unclear what led to the crash.
