Pizza Restaurant’s Note To Homeless Man Caught Digging Through Dumpster Goes Viral

There are little things in life that people forget to appreciate on a daily basis. Little things that we keep for granted because it has always been there, not realizing that a lot of people would do anything to also have the simple things we have. This can be some clothes that we can wear comfortably, tasty food that we can eat whenever we want or a warm home that shelters us in different weathers.

Homelessness is rampant in the United States not only recently, but for a few decades now. These homeless people don’t have a place to stay in harsh winters and are not even sure if they’ll have food for their next meal.

One of these homeless men was discovered by the Little Ceasar’s pizza restaurant staffs to be rummaging through their trash bin after it had closed for the day. But instead of doing nothing, these staffs decided to take an action that left others speechless.

Employees usually tried to interact with the homeless man but said that every time they would approach him while he was rummaging through the trash, he would quickly leave the place, looking embarrassed for being caught.

After months of trying to approach the man but to no avail, the staffs decided to post a note on the window. It read:

“To the person going through our trash for their next meal, you’re a human being and worth more than a meal from the dumpster. Please come in during operating hours for a couple of slices of hot pizza and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked.”

It wasn’t necessarily a requirement for the employees of the pizza place to help the man, but what they did made them the man’s hero. Now the man can enjoy pizza for his meal.

Aside from the gesture to the homeless man, it was also discovered that Little Ceasar’s gather leftover pies at the end of each night and deliver them to local homeless shelters, letting them enjoy a perfectly good food without going through the dumpster.

May this become an inspiration to all of us and help the needy whenever we can.
