The man walked into David’s Kitchen Wednesday evening and asked the bartender for a menu, according to police.

Police said the man grabbed the cash register off of the counter shortly after she went into the back room for the menu.

The man was last seen running down East Street with the cash register, according to police. The cash register was later found near North Main Street and Jacob Lane with no money inside.

It’s unclear how much money was in the cash register when it was stolen.
