PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Providence Board of Licensees voted to temporarily shut down Mezzo Lounge following reports of shots fired in a nearby parking lot that patrons of the club use.
According to Chairman Dylan Conley, they believe there was some type of altercation inside the building before the shooting.
There were two cars in the parking lot found with bullet holes.
There were also between 8 and 10 shell casings on the ground.
Conley said the club was ordered closed for 72 hours before a full hearing can take place later this week.
Right now, it is believed the suspect or suspects are still on the loose and no one was injured.
