Providence Waterparks to Open Ahead of Summer Schedule with High Temperatures Expected this Weekend

Waterparks to Open Friday, June 29 & Saturday, June 30, 12PM-7PM, Pools to Open July 2, 12PM-5PM for Summer Season

PROVIDENCE, RI – Mayor Jorge O. Elorza today announced that City of Providence’s neighborhood waterparks will open ahead of the summer schedule on Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30 from 12:00PM to 7:00PM due to expected high temperatures. Waterparks were previously set to open on Monday, July 2 along with City pools for the summer season. Pools are still set to open July 2 for the public from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and throughout the remainder of the season. City pools and waterparks will close Wednesday, July 4 for the holiday and resume operation July 5.

Waterpark facilities to open ahead of schedule for the public, from 12:00PM to 7:00PM Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30, include:

Al Carrington Water Park – at Richardson Park, 64 Richardson Street, Corner of Richardson Street & Prairie Ave)

Billy Taylor Water Park, 124 Camp Street, off Cypress Street

Sackett Street Water Park, 110 Sackett Street, across from Sackett Street Recreation Center

Harriet & Sayles Water Park, 375 Sayles Street, Corner of Harriet & Sayles Streets

General Street Water Park, 11 West Drive, off Admiral Street

George West Water Park, 1266 Chalkstone Ave, corner of Chalkstone & Mt Pleasant Ave

Fargnoli Water Park, 945 Smith Street, close to Academy Ave

Fox Point Water Park – at Cabral Park, 505 Wickenden Street, Next to Vartan Gregorian School

Neutaconkanut Recreation Center Water Park, 675 Plainfield Street, near Killingly Street

Wallace Street Park, 1 Wallace Street

Pastore Park, Corner of Knight Street and Tell Street
