Yoleros
A journey through illusions toward a new beginning.
Yoleros is the story of a man who gets through life by various trades: lottery vendor and guide of risky ventures through the Mona Passage between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, for those looking to escape reality with no future.

“Yoleros es un viaje de ilusiones hacia un nuevo comienzo, en donde se encuentran tres personajes que por su lucha en el amor, pobreza y esperanza determinan jugar un billete de lotería en el cual van a enfrentar la vida o la muerte en su viaje de travesía en el Canal de la Mona.”

“Yoleros is a story where three characters meet due to their struggle in love and poverty, and decide to play a lottery ticket in which they will face life or death along their journey crossing the Mona Passage.”

Great news from the Rhode Island Foundation.
On May 25, 2023, The Rhode Island Foundation announced it has invested more than $1.2 million to create designated endowments for 14 long-standing Rhode Island-based nonprofits that are led by, and primarily serve, people of color and that are working to reimagine systems that are built on structural inequity and racism.
Along with thirteen other nonprofit companies in Rhode Island, our company is a grateful recipient with the establishment of $100,000 Fund for Teatro ECAS.
“The 14 new designated fund holders have all been in existence for over a decade, and were identified by the Foundation as being community-serving organizations that have been historically underinvested in. We hope they will quickly attract philanthropic support to strengthen these outstanding community-facing organizations,” said Angie Ankoma, vice president and executive director of the Equity Leadership Initiative at the Foundation.
