30 guns stolen after car crashes into Warwick business

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are searching for the driver of a car that crashed into a gun store in Warwick Thursday morning.

Officers responding to Rhode Island Guns & Ammo on Post Road just before 4 a.m. found the front doors smashed.

Inside the business, police say multiple gun cases appeared to be broken into and approximately 30 handguns were stolen.

Police say the car took off before they arrived.

The incident remains under investigation.
