Crews battle East Providence house fire

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Firefighters in East Providence responded to a house fire that broke out on Sunday afternoon.
Battalion Chief Joseph DaSilva told 12 News that crews first got the call about a structure fire at Juniper Street just before 4 p.m.
Once the firefighters arrived, DaSilva said they saw heavy fire conditions on the home’s first floor.
Nobody was in the home at the time, according to DaSilva.
The cause of this fire is under investigation by the Rhode Island Fire Marshall.
